Refunds and cancellations
How refunds, cancellations, and rescheduling work for WebRidge consulting engagements.
Scope
These terms apply to paid consulting engagements with WebRidge Programming Advisory (microservices refactoring, performance tuning, architecture reviews, and related follow-up sessions). This website does not sell physical products, software licences, or course seats.
Eligibility
Refunds are available only for fees paid under a signed statement of work or invoice issued by WebRidge. Informal emails and website form submissions do not create refundable purchases.
Timeframe to request
Submit refund or cancellation requests in writing to contact@webridgehub.click within 14 days of the event giving rise to the request (for example, our cancellation of a booked workshop week), unless the statement of work sets a different window.
Full refunds
A full refund of prepaid fees applies when:
- WebRidge cancels an engagement before significant discovery work begins, or
- A scoping error on our side makes the agreed consultation type unsuitable and no alternative brief is agreed
Partial refunds
If work has started — discovery access used, interviews held, or workshop days delivered — fees for completed days or completed milestones are non-refundable. Unused prepaid days may be refunded or credited as stated on the invoice.
Non-refundable items
- Completed workshop days and delivered written reviews
- Travel and accommodation already purchased at your request (billed at cost)
- Third-party tooling fees you asked us to procure on your behalf
Process
Email contact@webridgehub.click with the invoice number, engagement name, and reason. We confirm eligibility within five business days and process approved refunds within 14 business days thereafter.
Refund method
Refunds are returned to the original payment method where possible, or by electronic funds transfer to an Australian business account you nominate.
Cancellation by the client
Provide at least ten business days’ notice to cancel a scheduled on-site week without fee. Later cancellations may incur up to 50% of the scheduled week’s fees if we cannot reassign the advisor. Remote analysis days already begun are charged as worked.
Rescheduling
One reschedule of a booked workshop block is allowed without fee if requested at least seven business days ahead. Further reschedules may be charged a half-day administration fee.
Deposits
Where a deposit secures a start date, it is applied to the final invoice. Deposits become non-refundable if you cancel inside the notice window above, except where Australian Consumer Law requires otherwise.
No-shows
If client participants fail to attend a scheduled workshop without notice, that day is billed as delivered.
Work already started
Discovery time, draft artefacts, and partial reviews remain billable. You retain copies of materials already shared under the statement of work; unpublished drafts may be withheld until invoices are settled.
Exceptions
Nothing in this policy limits non-excludable rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If a consumer guarantee applies to your engagement, remedies follow that law.
